CloudBusting is a FREE day-long tech conference hosted in association with ITAG (Information Technology Association Galway) ,GMIT and supported by HP will be held on the GMIT Galway campus on Friday, September 14th  starting at 10 am.
This day will give attendees insight on essential cloud topics including available delivery models, market trends and benefits you can achieve by implementing a cloud solution.
Learn about Cloud offerings from private, hybrid, to public cloud and understand the differences between IaaS, PaaS, SaaS. It will be also be a "cross-over" community event covering other aspects of the cloud with 5 tracks with over 20 sessions covering start-ups, Social Media, Web, music, DevOps and Start-ups. Where ever you are on your cloud journey there should be something of interest for you across the day with distinct tracks that attendees can pick and choose content from to fit their unique needs.
The plan is that attendees will go away with the understanding of what is necessary for the different ways to architect, develop and deploy applications and IT solutions in the cloud but also to leave with some food for thought on the web in general.

The keynote speaker is Dave Allen (http://about.me/daveallen <http://about.me/daveallen>  ) foundational member of post punk band, Gang Of Four. Dave is Director, Interactive Strategy at North, Inc  and an Adjunct Lecturer, Digital Brand Strategy at the University of Oregon and has some interesting ideas, experiences on music ,design, technology and on the web in general with what he refers to as "thinking about Webism" .Recent additions to the speaker list include Tim Willoughby, Bob Duffy , Claudio Perrone, who is an excellent speaker and LEAN practitioner. He will be the opening keynote speaker for the Italian Agile Day conference in November.
All details for the day-long tech conference are available on the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/CloudBusting2012 <http://www.facebook.com/CloudBusting2012>   (*Note you don’t need a Facebook account to view) including the full speakers list and a link to the eventbrite page for registration.

It's a good point though that we should start forwarding new blog posts to the public list. I did it the other day with the GLUG one.

We probably shouldn't assume that everyone reads the site =)
