Hi Gerry, My client is a global leader in software solutions based in Galway. Due to their continued growth they are seeking to hire a Senior Database Developer to join their team. Your role: In this role you will evaluate, design, implement and maintain database applications. You will be involved with design reviews, systems testing, and data modeling on complex projects and you may assist in performing on-site client work. This role will operate under minimal supervision and you will report to the Database Development Manager. Key responsibilities: -Perform complex database design activities which may require extensive research and analysis -Perform design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules / sub systems -Be involved with design reviews, systems testing and data modeling on complex projects -Learn new products quickly and fast adoption of new technologies -Research new technology or development tools Your skill-set: -You will have at least 5 years of experience in database design, development and support with Microsoft SQL Server -Thorough technical knowledge in database development methodologies, design and implementation -Excellent analytical and design skills in OLTP relational modeling and code development -Excellent skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation -Excellent understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance Salary: €60,000 - €75,000 plus benefits is on offer for the right candidate.
