"Although the NC Attorney General wouldn't confirm it, rumours abound that
they are investigating charges from black and latino consumers regarding the
illegal red-zoning practices being attributed to HomRentPro, a North Carolina
company that matches up landlords and potential renters. It is charged that
the Chief Officer, one John Henry DeJong, has an "understanding" with
landlords, whereby any properties listed with the company would only be rented
according to "Community standards" What this means, in effect, is that
minorities would be steered away from predominantly white areas, and towards
properties in integrated neighborhoods. The North Carolina Better Business
Bureau has acknowledged that complaints have been filed with their office,
but no further information is available."
Personally, it doesn't surprise me a bit, knowing what a devious and
underhanded cad John Henry is.

Another thing, dumbass - I don't manage or oversee the properties I list; I
have no control over who rents them, and the landlords aren't obligated to
rent to my clients.

You do realize of course, that there is *no way* that I could accomplish
this within my company, right? Especially given that the client selects the
area, etc, themselves?
You also realize that if I thought anyone on Usenet would take anything you
say as worth any more than the hot, steaming pile of shit that it is, or if
I was nearly the prick that assholes like you would like to make me out to
be, or if I thought you had any material value whatsoever, I'd have your ass
in court for this. Then, you could pay for all the free publicity you

1) This is all bullshit
2) As it happens, if you had really wanted to, you could find an article
similar to this regarding my partner's business, saying he was prejudicial
against single-parent families and minorities. Of course, once the NC Fair
Housing Commission realized that not only would it be nearly impossible to
discriminate using our system, but the guy they were accusing was a single
jewish father, the complaint was slowly forgotten about. Too bad, too,
because I was really getting warmed up to the idea that I would have the
chance to point out the hypocricy of certain members of NCFH, who I believe
to be bogts themselves. DOJ got involved, too, but it all just kind of
melted away when they realized that their accusations had absolutely no
merit, after a 15-month investigation of the company, a process that
included agents posing as clients.
So you see, been there, done that, beat it flat.

And unless you can come up with a cite, I wouldn't suggest taking this line
of trolling too much further. The worst that could happen is I'll get some
free publicity out of the deal. That should more than make up for legal
fees.
And my attitudes toward bigots are well-known, and well-archived, all over
about 15 different 'nets spanning ten years, Sparky. This is about like
accusing Dr. King of heading up the KKK. Get a fucking hobby that takes you
out of the house occasionally, would you?
Oh, and if you think that I didn't notice that the IP address in the header
of your message is identical to that used to post a fake registration at my
site, you're not thinking. Don't motivate me, Sparky - I'm working a little
differently these days, and I assure you, the only person that will get any
comedic enjoyment from this is me, in private.
And for the record, I've never seen anything more ridiculous in my life. I
couldn't discriminate against people if I *did* want to, which I most

The support for me on this really surprises me, but I just wanted to say
thanks to everyone that stepped up in my defense. Since BRUTALITY was
stupid enough to hit my site and fill out one of my forms, I now have his IP
address, which matches the one on this message.
You know, FP98 can be reverse engineered to deliver a certain file, cookie,
.EXE, whatever, to a certain IP address if it hits. If I were to set up my
site to place a cookie only in computers that are coming from Brutality's
IP, and then subpoenaed his ISP's records, his machine will bear evidence
that he is indeed the person that made libelous statement if the coinciding
IP addresses aren't enough.
Guess it's a good thing for Brutality that I'm willing to wait and see if he
gets stupider before I pounce on his ass. It gives him the chance to not
get stupider.
