First: I know virtually nothing about skydiving, so please forgive me
any stooopidities...
When recently zapping through TV, I came to a documentary about the
history of skydiving; stunned, I watched some weirdo jump out of a
weather balloon in 18+ miles. After a little internet research I'm
pretty sure that I was watching the Joe Kittinger "Excelsior III"
jump.
Does anybody know about an online source where to download movie files
of his freefall?
THX in advance

Right now it's a short clip in a nearly 50 meg video about StratoQuest
(Cheryl Stearns' attempt to break kittinger's record) at
http://www.skydivingmovies.com in the /from tv/ folder.
stratoquest.mpg (requires an mpeg2 codec which can be found in the
empgplay_115.zip file). I'm trying to extract that section for you
but it's not working well.
This site seems to need a password.
That just means the server is full (25 connections max right now). No
password is required normally.

I'd be grateful for a short message if you should succeed; in that
case, please remove the SPAMBAIT from my address.
