-- Well, there's this thread that I found which discusses the matter
as it concerns the website 'findagrave.com'
-- As well, there's some discussion about her, as well as some the
postings made by the presumed fake Dorothy Dare over here:
For what it's worth, the Social Security Death Index lists 11 deceased
people named Dorothy Dare, none of whom shared her b/d or supposed
year of death.

(the alt.music.lyrics TV theme guy)
According to her biography on IMDb: "Dorothy Dare is still alive.
Maybe one day more info will surface on her. She was apart of a great
era of entertainment and she's apart of it. Hopefully she will tell
her story."
-- The biography does say that but, if you look above the biography, a
1981 date of death (perhaps belately entered) is included.
RESPONSE:
A. The death date is submitted separately from the bio and could well --
likely is, in fact -- from another "submitter."
B. Does it really say "She was APART of a great era...and she's APART of
it"? Oy gevalt.

I am in a hotel right now that provides complimentary tea. I had a pot
sent up, but it hasn't said a word yet.

They also promised to send up some stationary, but that doesn't seem to be going
anywhere either....r

What good is being an executive if you never get to execute anyone?
Someone found and posted a online death certificate stating Actress
Dorothy Dare died in California on October 4, 1981 at the age of 70.
Well then she's a pretty amazing dead person because Dorothy Dare has
occasionally been posting comments on Youtube. And the Daily Mail
recently interviewed her in a story about seniors (she's 92) who are
using computers and technology to keep in touch with friends. She
says many people her age are going online because a lot of them have
arthritis, and sending e-mails is easier than writing letters. She
said she recently got a text message from an old friend -- literally
an old friend, 100 years old. I don't know who started the rumor
about Ms. Dare dying in 1981, but it's not true!
Rachel,
The movie actress Dorothy Dare did die in 1981. We have spoken to
the informant on her death certificate, who confirmed facts for us,
and the curator of the Warner Brothers Archive also verified, beyond a
reasonable doubt, that the Dorothy Dare who died in 1981 was
definitely the actress who was under contract to Warner Brothers for
many years.
What isn't entirely clear at this point, is who the lady who is
reported to have died April 22, 2008 was, and what, if any, connection
she had to the actress who died in 1981. We're still actively
investigating those circumstances.

Thanks for your response, Frank. I just came across some information
tonight that there is an imposter pretending to be Dorothy Dare:
http://www.findagrave.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=376976&fpart=1
I really fell for this whole thing when I saw a message posted on
Youtube by this alleged "Dorothy Dare," thinking it was the real
deal. This is a link to this imposter's fake Dorothy Dare Youtube
account:
http://youtube.com/user/DorothyDare
Notice the person named bronwyn25 who wrote the angry message in
"Dorothy Dare"'s comment section, attacking "Gigi" for "harassing this
old lady" on Youtube. Apparently, Gigi is a person who has been
investigating this "Dorothy" and uncovered information revealing this
to be a hoax. And this brownwyn25 person who was attacking Gigi -- it
turns out that, apparently, this is the same person pretending to be
Dorothy Dare!
