Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to download an earlier version Sun Studio for testing. I found "Sun Studio 11" at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/server-storage/solarisstudio/downloads/index-jsp-138519.html .

When I follow the "Download Sun Studio 11" link, it takes me to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/downloads/sdlc-decommission-333274.html. However, the page does not provide the link for the software or a search feature to re-locate it.

Under section "Software Product Downloads", the page states the following (but I'm not interested in the latest version for testing):

Developers can download most of the latest Sun
software products from the Oracle Technology Network.

How can I find past downloads after "Sun Download Center Changes"?

Thanks in advance.

In my experiance, Oracle tends to limit what is available for free
download to just the latest GA version of something. I suspect you may
need a support contract to get hold of other versions, in which case
you can go to edelivery.oracle.com, although I don't know if Sun Studio
11 is still available at all anymore.

Thanks Andrew.

We have an OTN account. We can't contact Sun/Oracle because its hidden behind a maintenance contract. Emails to well known address go unacknowledged and unanswered.

What are our options? Does Sun/Oracle respond to letters sent via snail mail? Is it possible for someone with a support contract to proxy the request for us?

Or maybe, someone can provide SSH access to a dev machine that's already configured with Solaris 10 and Sun Studio? I can send my authorized_keys or post them on our project's website.

My apologies. I don't like asking for handouts and help, but I don't know what else to do.

Invest your energy on another project, Oracle isn't interested.

For a new project I wouldn't bother. Studio 11 was EOL'd way back and
the only users would be those supporting legacy projects who haven't
been coerced into upgrading.
