Thank you for your question about the missing hg38.ensGene table. The ensGene table has become
the GENCODE set of tracks on hg38, please see the note on the following page:

"As of GENCODE Version 11, Ensembl and GENCODE have converged. The gene annotations in the GENCODE
comprehensive set are the same as the corresponding Ensembl release."
