Hello,

I am having some difficulty displaying custom tracks.  Specifically I am trying to look at http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks?org=human&position=chr22&hgt.customText=http://www.bcgsc.ca/downloads/edcc/test/customTracks.txt which gives me the error
http://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTracks?org=human&position=chr22&hgt.customText=http://www.bcgsc.ca/downloads/edcc/test/customTracks.txt

But I cannot see a problem with my customTracks.txt file. If I remove the type=bedGraph from the second line then the third line (the bigWig track) is successfully displayed, but I still cannot visualize the first.

I would appreciate any help.

Cheers,
Brad Davis

Hi Brad,

Your URL (http://www.bcgsc.ca/downloads/edcc/test/fib03_Standard.bed) already contains a track line, which is why you are receiving this error. Replace the second line of your customTracks.txt file with only the URL, and it should upload without any errors.

If you have further questions please feel free to contact the mailing list again at gen...@soe.ucsc.edu.
