Hello Julius,

Thank you for contacting us. We were able to successfully upload a bam file on Galaxy's site and view it in the Genome Browser. The error you are receiving suggests you might be using a different (local) site and not Galaxy's main site: https://usegalaxy.org/. Are you still experiencing the issue?

If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu. All messages sent to that address are archived on a publicly-accessible forum. If your question includes sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.

Hello Julius,

It looks like the problem is related to the configuration of your local Galaxy mirror. The IP address that your Galaxy server sends to UCSC (172.21.144.160) is part of an address block reserved for private local networks. You will need to configure your Galaxy server to provide UCSC with a public-facing IP address for us to be able to load your data. We suggest that you talk to the support staff for Galaxy about how to do this.

I hope this is helpful. If you have any further questions, please reply to gen...@soe.ucsc.edu or genome...@soe.ucsc.edu. Questions sent to those addresses will be archived in publicly-accessible forums for the benefit of other users. If your question contains sensitive data, you may send it instead to genom...@soe.ucsc.edu.

Hi Jonathan

If I leverage on UCSC Genome Browser In a Box, and I want to present the data in Galaxy to the Genome Browser, how can I do it?

Best,

Julius
