I have the Pico projector. You do need a dim lit area to view any projections well. It comes with a micro A/V plug so any micro A/V output can be used to project. The casing can get a little hot because of the bulb inside. My unit came with two rechargeable batteries, and a USB to A/C adapter to plug in the unit and use or charge with. 'Bout a hundred bucks.
