Ah, interesting.

It also appears that Americans elect has failed to gain enough support
to nominate a candidate. They got over 2.5 million sign ups, but their
top candidate didn't have even 5k votes by their set deadline. They
may have changed the rules to add more time.

There interface is very disappointing. A lot of people told them what
they needed to succeed (in feedback section) but they didn't do what
their customers asked. It looks like it cost them the participation of
their users.

AmericansElect never "smelled right" for many of us who started or even finished their on-line "interview".  Tom Friedman seemed to have a lot of faith in them, as did several other influential reporters and news shows like Charlie Rose.
