Subject: SARC (Scientists/Artists Research Collaborations)
Helpers wanted:
During this Summer, five nationally selected artists will be collaborating with
science researchers at LANL and Sandia Labs, as part of a unique pilot initiative.
The five will be here from July 5 through the 19th (approx.), with some time spent
in Los Alamos, Albuquerque and Santa Fe.     They will return for the second half
of Sept. (14-26), for a series of working meetings and public presentations.

As co-director of SARC, I am seeking volunteer (or low pay) help with a number of tasks:
- Drivers are needed to take and accompany individual artists to Lab working meetings.
- Help is needed with documentation (note taking, photog., audio/video) where possible.
- general assistance (helping arrange group meals; hikes and forays, and other?)
- We are still seeking lodging and work space options in the three communities.

This could be an opportunity to see and be around some of the most interesting people
and work going on at the Labs and at UNM and SFI, as well as to get to know the five artists,
who are already working at the intersection of the arts and sciences.

If you or someone you know may be interested, or want to discuss this further,
please be in touch.
Richard
