I’m interested in obtaining hindcast current data for a site offshore
Brazil and successfully accessed the HYCOM + NCODA Global Analysis
(experiments 90.6, .7 and .8). Unfortunately, it looks like the data
is only archived once a day. We’re interested in higher temporal
resolution so we can characterize inertial current responses. Are
there
any HYCOM datasets that archive data more frequently than once a day
(e.g., every 3 hours)?

The Gulf of Mexico is the only product we serve out with hourly
temporal resolution (due to its smaller domain = smaller storage
footprint), and we only have 2d variables at this temporal resolution.

Maybe someone else in the HYCOM community knows of another model at
higher temporal resolution for your desired domain, but it will most
likely be for only 30 days (not multiple years). A lot of storage and
computational time would be required for this resolution.
