If you leave your trailer parked in a public area while you ride, be sure to check the trail hitch when you return to be sure no one fiddled with it in your absence. Julie
And use the safety chains! I’ve seen people not use them, and knew a woman whose trailer didn’t even have them. Guess whose trailer got separated from her tow vehicle?

And in regards to safety chains, make sure they are crossed underneath the hitch, not hooked up parallel to each other. Just another precaution in case your hitch bounces off the ball – it will prevent the trailer from doing a nosedive into the road.
