permissions issue with your /opt directory. Do you get the same behavior if
you just unzip and run from your home dir?

Yes, if you have different users sharing the same Linux box, /opt is
probably correct. However, we want to verify first that nothing is wrong
with the .zip you downloaded. Can you try unzipping directly into your home
dir, and try to run it?

I'm using Archlinux myself, so I will see if I can have a look at it.
In the meantime just download the editor, unzip it locally (somewhere in
your home) and run the editor from the extracted directory. No further
install steps required.
