To me, the nice thing about Polymer is that it's got client-side polyfills for enough of the Web Components spec that it looks like you start building applications without any pre-processing.  I imaging this is harder to do for Dart.  However, I wonder if it might be practical to at least get to the point where it's practical to package up web-ui custom elements in a form where they can be used without pre-processing the page in which they've been embedded -- just using similar client-side polyfills to Polymer.  That's quite attractive, because it allows you to drop one Dart component into a page without affecting anything else.
