Error 100: Bosh::Director::Lock::TimeoutError

i was working to deploy CF
and then my network got some hickups and lost connection.

and i saw in my openstack dashboard that all vms created where in error state.
so i wanted to delete the deployment

so i used the command bosh delete deployment cloudfoundry
but i get the following error "Error 100: Bosh::Director::Lock::TimeoutError"

how can i remove this lock?

Have you tried to delete the deployment forcefully ? . If not try this command  bosh delete deployment cloudfoundry --force

worked but didn't delete the vm's though
will do that manually :) thanks
should have figured that out myself

I had the same issue today. I scheduled a retry every 10 mins, and after 1-2 hours, the lock was released. Here is the associated stack trace:
