Hello,

I am reading the design document at : http://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/prerender and I have a question if there is an API that would allow add-in developers to create a hidden page and then swap that hidden page into any particular Chrome tab when needed.

Would be good to know, if that is possible.

Best Regards,

I am looking for the same. If you have any information.
That would be awesome.

From chrome's source code, it should be pretty easy to expose this as the only object which need to be exposed is prerenderManagerFactory which I believe should suffice.
Any pointers on how to do it ?

Sorry for slow response. There is not a general API for doing something like this. What's more, prerendered tabs typically need to be swapped into the same tab that created the prerender so the sessionStorage namespace matches.
