Guys,

Not sure what I'm missing here, but I get the following when trying to
create an image:

Postinst running
Set boot target to /dev/sda3: Partition 3, Slot A
Updating /boot/extlinux.conf target
Updating grub target for EFI BIOS

.: 10: Can't open /usr/lib/shflags

Is the shflags library the one that is on google code? That may be
all I need, but I figured I'd ask someone who may know better.

Thanks,

Steve

it is the very same one but you should have it installed if you
checked out the entire source code (it's in third_party)

Same problem for me.

The path it's giving sounds like it's from the chroot environment --
but obviously, we are running image_to_vmware from outside the chroot!

image_to_virtualbox has the same error too.

Yes. Even I do "(Inside)$ emerge shflags" and check there is an "/usr/
lib/shflags", still get the same error when run (outside)$ ./
image_to_virtualbox.sh.......

Still can't run the image_to scripts -- stuck with the darn .bin file!

Hi all,
new postinst has modified something for pre-commit.
you can ignore this wrong message first through his flags --postcommit
try to edit your image_to_vmware.sh and find "postinst" keyword and
change it to be
sudo "$TEMP_MNT"/postinst /dev/sda3 --postcommit
It can pass during creating image

Woah -- how about that. It actually ran... first time!

The image isn't booting in VMWare... but... I can't tell if that's
VMWare, or the script :)

I have tried your method and got the vmware image.
But it can't boot in VMWare. I just saw a black screen.
Does your image work well?

Thanks!
