Hi
I've just bought a Samsung Chromebook to replace my old iBook which finally
died, and as I have rather poor eyesight, the one feature I am really
missing is the ability to adjust the size of the cursor (or mouse pointer)
on screen. On the Mac, I could increase the Cursor Size, up to 10 times
normal size, under Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse > For
difficulties seeing the mouse. Unfortunately, when the cursor was just
scaled up, it looked pretty rough and pixellated, but it's a lot easier to
see.
It is(was) possible to increase the cursor size in Ubuntu, with a nice
smooth (vector graphic?) cursor, but from distro to distro, they have
moved, or hidden, the location of the control that changes the size. In
12.04 it's semi-broken, in that it works in some applications, but not in
others.
So, how can I help? I'm a designer, not a coder. At this stage I've no idea
if this is being worked on already, or which part of the OS it falls under.
Can it be implemented as an extension, or if it is part of the underlying
OS, or should it be a Theme. I know what I'd like, but don't know where to
start.
Regards
Eric
