The extension in question is this one:

I've tested in these Chrome versions:

28.0.1500.11 dev-m == crash
28.0.1500.5 (portable) == works fine, no crashes
27.0.1453.81 (portable) == works fine, no crashes
26.0.1410.64 (portable) == works fine, no crashes

More on the crash in 28.0.1500.11 dev-m:
- crash on triggering popup after browser open
- leave it a while after browser open and the popup loads fine
- triggering popup when at the extension's options page causes crash

Can someone try my extension on 28.0.1500.11 dev-m and other versions to see if the problem is the extension or Chrome, please?
Thanks :)

Nobody?

Anyway I got to test it on the current Canary build today and it works fine on it.

Ok, I thought the porblem went away.

I was running 2 copies of the extension, one from the web store and another a local unpacked for development.
When there are 2 copies everything is fine.
But when I disabled one of them the other copy will crash when triggering the popup at the options page.

Wished there was some stack trace or error when the crashes happened.

YES!!!

Found the problem!
Spent some time with verbose logging and tailing the log file, interesting but can't seem to pinpoint anything.

Thats until I decided to try resetting the stuff at chrome://flags...and it worked.
No more crashes, so its something with Chrome after all.
