Hallo.

Chromium would be better with image blocking like that which is native to Mozilla/Gecko.
In M/G (& in Chromium) users can right click & select View Page Info, but
the M/G Page Info popup has a "Media" tab and users can select images
from certain originating servers - which means users can selectively block images on any webpage.
Chromium (as far as I can tell) only blocks all or no images for the link in the address bar ...

Why would a regular user need to block images from certain servers?
If you wish to block advertisements, use the various AdBlock extensions.

Well, I don't agree with that response/position and
would like to reiterate that the Mozilla/Gecko (native) image blocking (I-B) is superior
to Chromium's (native) all or nothing I-B and that
Chromium would be enhanced with such (native) I-B functionality ...

When arguing that it something is needed, a use case should be provided. Just saying "it should be there" is not that helpful...

Anyway, generally, for feature requests, you can search crbug.com for an existing issue for this feature request and star it. If you cannot find one, you can file a new issue using the "New issue" link on the same page.
(If you do find one, do not add comment like +1 or "me, too", it only hinders the development and it does not make the engineers implement the feature more quickly.)

Extensions can provide more flexible image blocking using the same api as adblock, or you can just use adblock as-is and provide a custom set of filters that allow/block anything you wish. Not everything needs to be a built in feature, especially when few users are likely to need it.

Well, I (still) don't agree - broadly speaking nor specifically ...
Image-Blocking is native to Chromium and so is not a "would be rare used" functionality ...
The Mozilla/Gecko (native) I-B is superior to Chromium's, and
Chromium (I presume) wants to be the best ... not just good or good enough ...,
so Chromium should improve upon its all-or-nothing I-B ...
I'll see about doing a/the feature request ...
Thanks & regards ...
