Hello everyone, have been playing a bit with Chromium source and added
"Open Download" feature, this have been requested several times and
also is being voted at google, basically created a new shelf that
handles the download request and after user input it can be downloaded
( OPEN MODE ) to a TEMP folder located at CACHE/DOWNLOADS or ( SAVE
MODE ) download to default download location.

The "OPEN" download location has autocleaning.

You can try the binary build based on chromium 6.0.431.0 located here:
http://descargas.casasydesarrollos.com/advanced_chrome.zip

I wonder if this feature can be included in official builds and what
kind of improvements can be made.

Gday.

Really nice! Can you post the source code diff somewhere and mention
this on the developers mailinst list chromium-dev ?
That way you might get more help on how the road towards adding this
as a feature goes. I guess you've already seen some developers pages
over at chromium.org?

Great work there! I would like to suggest something though - File Open
Rules. So, if you click "Open" many times on a given file type
(torrents, etcetera), it will know that you want that file to be
opened. And also this should have a separate pop-up window under
Wrench - Settings - Under the hood, like the Proxy and Cache settings
have, where people can add or remove rules. These rules should be
Always open, Always download, or Always ask. I hope I was clear :D

Oh and also a bug with torrents - it does not keep the files long
enough to be loaded into any client. What about cleaning the temp
folder after closing the browser?
