597 (M9) branch closed until browser stability is under control

The branch is closed at the moment. We were planning on doing a beta tomorrow, however the crash rate is currently 400 crashes per million page loads on the browser is simply too high. At this point, I'm only taking changes that specifically target crash fixes to the browser. Once we have things under control (under 300/M), I'll re-open the branch.
