To be even more pedantic, instead of "has stopped updating" it should
probably say something like "will not update passed version [CURRENT MAJOR
VERSION #]", since users will continue to get updates of m26; updates will
only stop for sure once m27 goes to stable.

True, although once we ship M27 Stable in a few months, the message will be
accurate forever, and I kind of like the stronger language. (We also don't
really want users to think about version numbers)

this bug is back. I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 and after the last Chrome update,
I am receiving this error again.

Eric, please explain more. Actually we're stopping support for Ubuntu 10.04
in new versions of Chrome.
