Chrome Version: all

Set the font size of GTK app interface elements to 9 or 10 pt Sans in Gnome
Appearance Prefs.
The Bookmarks bar font size is hardcoded to ~14px (?)

Don't align font sizes to default 10pt Gnome font sizes. Thats all wrong.

Same here (Archlinux 2010.10, Chromium 6.0.472.62) - really annoying to
have these big fonts on a small notebook screen, would be better to pull
the font size from the GTK settings (or if this is not possible, create an
option to configure it

Changing the hinting value to FULL in
Preferences->Appearance>Fonts>Rendering>Details solved.

There is no such configuration path
as "Preferences->Appearance>Fonts>Rendering>Details" in chromium 79063.
What version are you talking about?
