What is going on with the chrome web store with the apps in my game?

Yesterday, there were 32.422 downloads from the users and now I have
32.313.
how is this possible? The number is supposed to go up and not down,
can anybody tell me what is going on or where do I have to make the
claims in technical support within the web store?

app id: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pggaepdghiamdelgbgolfggheakmdgon?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon

thanks

That is the number of users and not the number of downloads.  It is a total of all the users who have it currently installed, which  means the number may go down.

Across the entire Chrome Web Store a large number of apps have
experienced a back up on user counts.

We track the entire store at chromeosapps.org.

Also we have about 16 apps. About 2/3s decreased in user counts.

Google has consistently recommended using other means to track app
activity. I find this a shaky recommendation at best - what about the
paid apps?

Personally I think they are working out the kinks of a very complex
system. For example - if a user has three machines and uses sync, is
that user three users or one user? We think the user is counted three
times.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate Google and the Google Advocates. PLEASE Note, I am a
friend of Google, but not an employee.

*** To further elaborate on what Paul said, if a user removes your
app, your user count will go down. We believe the user count is
actively driven by update surveillance.
