Subject: Converting Google Site to Packaged App

Hi everyone,

I'm a teacher who's created a course on a google site.  Due to internet
problems in some of our schools, I would like to convert this to a packaged
app for offline use.  Do you know of any help resources you could point me
towards to achieve this?  Everything I've read so far doesn't really use
converting a website as an example.

Thanks.

Subject: Re: [cws-apps] Converting Google Site to Packaged App

So, using Google Sites Liberation, I've downloaded my site (only 200MB).
The problem now is that my site is all in folders with the different
elements all containing an index file.   Which file would I be pointing to
in my manifest.json?  And it would be a browser action right?

Thanks for your help.

Note that the ZIP file size limit is 10 MB when you host it in the web
store (just in case).

Stupid question, but must I put my app in the chrome store?  I'm really
just making it to distribute to our students at our school.

No, you can leverage the external
extension<http://developer.chrome.com/extensions/external_extensions.html>mechanism,
if you are an administrator.

And the limit is actually 2GB now. We need to update the docs.
