Typically it's an unfair situation that some Google developers are
obviously too oblivious to recognize. Technically speaking, only
popular apps and featured ones show up in the web store which is
completely and utterly ridiculous because the only reason they are so
popular to begin with is because they are the only stupid apps anyone
can find unless you get lucky with your search criteria. Any Google
programmer with half a wit would have considered this before even
opening the store but DERRRR DUHHH!

Because of this shortsightedness and their ability to completely
ignore any request to rectify this issue, we are stuck missing out on
all the best possible apps just because people enough people can't
even find them to make them popular to begin with. How would we know
what to search for if we don't even know what the app is or what it's
name is to begin with???

Apps like The Encryptor (that enables you to use the same encryption
method of the Military Intelligence to code secret messages and let
your friends decode them)... Or Tank Ball II (an online multiplayer
game that requires no registration or anything). and even the
"ringtone maker" that lets you create your own m3 ringtone 'An Offline
App'.

I myself have apps in which NONE of them show up in the store like "TV
Guide", "Tron Game", "Create Your Own Toolbar", "Countdown Timer
Generator" and MUCH MUCH MORE! But because nobody can find them...
How is it possible to even see them show up in the app store??? It's
ridiculous!

Google! If by some off chance you are reading this... Please WAKE UP
and go read some emails that people send you so you can do something
to fix issues like this! We know you could are less because a little
issue like this aint paying your Mitsubishi payments but try giving
people a break for once in your life and do something noble for a
change and think about someone other than
yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Besides, if you were actually smart,
you'd at least bump up the ones that cost money to it's own category
or something because DUH... don't you make a profit from those since
they use Google Cart?? Jeesh... How you people ever became a giant
company is completely beyond most people's comprehension. However the
fact that you are slowly going downhill recently is not a big
surprise.

Looks to me like this is a bug in the store. I've followed up with the engineering team and will get back to you if something changes.  Thanks for the report.

Well, that was a considerable pile of vitriol, wasn't it.  In the case of the thread you replied to, we have a publishing error with a specific app, yet you seem to be referencing your own apps which are currently available in the store without any issue.  It sounds like you have issues with discovery, and we're making adjustments to increase the visibility of non-featured apps, but no solution will be a guaranteed exposure mechanism, especially as the store grows.  You'll still need to do some promotion on your end if you want to start building up a user base.  I noticed you have some apps which have over 100 users and at least two with over 500, so you must be finding at least some success in the store.

As for the rest of the incredibly rude rant, if you have specific areas you'd like us to focus on then please report them in a constructive way.  This kind of missive isn't going to get you very far, which applies to more than just the chrome web store, I'd say.

Just wondering... how come the "New and Noteworthy apps" only show
like 4 or 5 of them and a few of them are low rated and get very bad
comments? There is one there by Google too.

PS: In the many years I have been using Google, i have have NEVER
seen you deal with a customer complaint properly and thus what you
refer to as a "rude rant" or 'vitriol" is nothing more than or less
than "the straw that breaks the camel's back" live and up close.
Nevertheless, No anger or rudeness was intended on my part... I was
only referring to Google as a whole and not the few individual people
here and there scattered throughout the company who actually do the
job right. It's kind of like when some of us "People are stupid!" and
yet what are we? In other words, don't take it personally. It's
called "Freedom of Expression". You have it too. "Well at least when
your not clocked in anyway. lol"

Hello,

Seems like my problem is identical to this one, so I'm just gonna tag
it onto the end here.

I published my first app several days ago, but still there's no sign
of it when I search for it in the store.

This is the app:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/mhkicdgidnfmdfnhhllffoplpaldkljl

I've been using search terms like 'zombie', 'pandemic', 'survive' and
'mmorpg', and would expect it to turn up on any of those searches.

Any tips and help would be greatly appreciated.
