Workflow screen displaying 500 error

Bradley and crew,
I just received a 500 error when I entered the workflow screen as a federation administrator to approve a recently submitted SP. From the looks of things, it appears something goofy's getting pulled in when an SQL query takes place. Not exactly sure, though. I'm still running the 2.2 development release, but as far as I'm aware, this wasn't anything that changed in 2.2 from 2.1.3.... more »

Generating complee attribute filter file?

Hi, all,
Pretty sure this isn't available out of the box, but thought I'd ask to make sure. I'd like to generate a complete attribute filter file for use by federation IDPs. I see how, using the API, I can generate attribute filter blocks for individual SPs, but I don't see a built-in URL for a complete file. Of course, I can easily externally script this if I don't want to modify FR. Thought I'd ask, though, if there was something internal that I'm missing.... more »

Potential bug in FR with parsing cn into first and last names

Hi, all,
I'm releasing cn (actually displayName, but it's being mapped to cn in my fr-config.groovy) to my Federation Registry. Problem is that this attribute in our organization contains a user's full legal name including middle name. But FR is picking up the second word in the attribute as my last name. So, under contacts, it has my surname as William instead of Wessel when it parses the displayName value of "Keith William Wessel."... more »

Branding the plugins

I was trying to finish up our branding, and I noticed some screens coming up with text that I thought I had replaced but I hadn't. I traced it to hard-coded text about the AAF in the plugins. In particular, I found hard coded text in app/pluginsbase/grails-app/aut h/federatederror.gsp, something that almost identically matches text from a message in the branding messages.properties from app/federationregistry. Only difference is the reference to the auEduPersonSharedToken possibly changing which obviously isn't relevant for us.... more »

Odd error upon login

I'm getting some odd behavior periodically on our (final stages of testing) instance of FR.
It seems to happen if nobody's logged in for an extended period of time, so I suppose it could be some kind of database connection expiring, but the error we're seeing doesn't indicate that.... more »

I18N messages and branding

Hey, Bradley and all,
I've been doing some branding of FR2 to get it ready for production for us, and I need to change the text of some messages in files other than messages-branding.properties. I'm a bit confused on how to do this. If I copy these files from app/federationregistry/grails- app/i18n to branding/grails-app/i18n, they are ignored by grails importtheme. Am I incorrect to just modify these files in app/federationregistry/grails- app/i18n? Or is that what I want to do in this case?... more »

Problem adding myself as an administrator for an IDP

Hi, Bradley et al,
So, here's what I just tried and what happened. After my initial configuration and the like, I granted myself administrative rights using the SQL in the installation instructions. I then wanted to also make myself the administrator of my IDP in FR.
